Privacy Policy

Pounce is a product of Drofn ("Drofn", "we", "us"). This policy describes what data Pounce collects, why, and how it's used. It's written to accurately reflect how the product actually works, not as a substitute for formal legal advice.

What we collect

  • Your account email address and a hashed password (we never store or see your plaintext password).
  • Websites you submit for analysis, and any product/pitch material you paste into your seller profile.
  • Information about companies you analyze — crawled from their public website and public sources (GitHub, Hacker News, Google News, SEC EDGAR, and general web search).
  • Names, roles, and email addresses of decision-makers, either found on a company's public site or entered by you manually.
  • If you connect Gmail: only the email address of the connected account (identity only — we never request or receive access to your inbox).
  • Subscription/plan and usage counts (how many analyses, searches, and cadences you've run), used to enforce plan limits.
  • Billing details are handled entirely by Razorpay — we never see or store your card or bank details.

Third parties we send data to

To analyze a company, the crawled content and your product information are sent to AI providers (Anthropic and/or OpenAI) for processing, and to Google Cloud (Vertex AI/Gemini) for web search grounding. These providers process this data to generate a response but under their own data-handling terms, not ours. Payment processing is handled entirely by Razorpay.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run third-party analytics.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your account and analyzed data for as long as your account is active. There's no self-serve account deletion yet — email heebaaltaf@gmail.com to request deletion of your account and associated data.
